What is a Server?

Web servers are browsers such as Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Opera etc. They are used to show website and run apps. Web servers are also used in the case of cloud storage services and online backup services.
Email servers are used when sending and receiving emails. Your email software will be connected to either a POP or IMAP email server that allows you to download emails. An SMTP server is used to send messages from the email server.

What are Cloud Storage Services?

Cloud storage services allow users to safely store valuable data online. It is stored in a public cloud that can only be accessed via web interfaces remotely.

Cloud storage is divided into three categories:

Clients can rent dedicated hardware which can be provisioned with any flavour of hypervisor required by the client.
Clients can rent space from Microsoft Azure, Google and Amazon (AWS) for example, to store their valuable data. UNIWISP acts as a platform facilitator and Managed Service Provider (MSP).
Clients use software that is available on the Internet. A platform is created by developers that is used to develop, run and manage applications that are used for cloud computing services.
